On paper(or internet nowadays) December's schedule looked very tough for the Knicks but January may be the real measuring stick for this team. The Knicks will be hosting a few home games against the NBA's elite(Miami, San Antonio) and will have a tough road schedule. Primarily in the West with the Lakers, Thunder, Trailblazers, Spurs, Jazz, and Rockets. These teams have a combined 77 and 27 home records, Spurs are the best of the bunch at 19 and 2.
Recent history has told us that the Knicks can win in the west, breaking out of a 3 & 8 slump. They went on to win three straight in the west beating the Kings, Warriors, and Clippers. Unfortunately for the Knicks they will only play one of these teams this trip(Kings). They got a jump on the January schedule beating the Pacers yesterday(1/2/11) 98 to 92. These next 14 games could be the turning point of the Knicks season, there currently the 6th seed in the East and need to stay in the playoff hunt come All-Star break.
First up is the Spurs tomorrow night at MSG: Here's Tony Parker Post Practice Interview 1/2/11
