Roger Mason is down with Team Protege

The Knicks own Roger Mason Jr. is now a part of the Protege Sneaker Line. Protege sneakers and apparel line is sold solely in KMart department stores, they offer high quality athletic gear at a low price(Prices range from $19.99-$44.99). These kicks were once seen on the MSG floors by Al Harrington who was a part of the Protege Line during the 2008-2009 season.

Kenny was most remembered by his tremendous performance in the 1989 NBA Dunk contest where he pulled of Vince Carter 2000 Dunk Contest type dunks. From the Hi-Top fade, spandex underwear way longer than his shorts, and tight gold chains, his look was very hard to forget. His career was cut short with the Knicks due to reoccurring knee issues but he did manage to race a horse at a race track and win.

Its funny that NIKE gives STAT the props of a OG in these commericals yet that can't find a correct signature shoe for him. Last season Amare rocked the nike huarache 2011, which arent even Basketball sneakers(they fall under the Cross-Trainer Class). In the past I've posted kicks that NIKE would have liked to had made the sig shoe for him but they never worked out for whatever reason.

Happy 46th to one the most beloved and hated Knicks players of all-time. I have to admit, he was my favorite player during the 90's era. The grit, passion, and energy he played with night in and night out was unmatched. He took the Napoleon Complex effect onto the court and translated it into a wonderful basketball career. Whether you loved or hated him you were going to respect him during those 48 minutes. Check out the rarely seen Video Bio from MSG:

Kevin Durant made a surprise appearance to Harlem last night and put on a classic outing, dropping 66 points and basically raining down threes after threes. There has been some memorable performances by NBA Stars at the Rucker but this one might be at the top of the list.

We all know the knocks on Jimmer's game: no defense, undersized, one-dimensional, etc. But if you listen closely this kid is totally aware of his deficiencies and all of the criticisms that come with it and he seems prepared to work hard to prove everyone wrong, including myself.
Will Jimmer become another Adam Morrison, or can he mold himself into a great complimentary player on a very good team(e.g. JJ Barea.)?

There were many other nights when The Diesel performed tremendously in the Garden but this was by far his best season ever. Shaq announced his retirement via Twitter yesterday, The Big "Everything" dominated the Post-Jordan Era with four championships, three Finals MVP's, and one NBA MVP award. He was the biggest personality in the NBA, period.
