Was December really that bad? These last few games definitely leaves a bad taste in our mouths, but a closer look at this month tells a different story.
I believe the majority of Knicks fans would have been very satisfied, if on November 30th they heard that the Knicks would go 8-5 in December. Some of the losses just sting way to much. Losses to the Heat will stick in our brains for a good while(or until 1/27 when the Knicks play the Heat again). But there were some quality wins in there as well, a shootout with Denver, the OKC blowout, and the Christmas block party win over the Bulls.
Even in defeat we learned a great deal about this Knicks team. The Boston game was the NBA's best game this season. Not to mention a controversial one at that, with the game clocks displaying a more tenth's of a second than we were awarded. In the two Florida losses(HEAT, MAGIC) the Knicks showed much heart and courage to rally back against two great teams.

The Chicago Bulls may just trade for Carmelo Anthony after all.
According to Mark Schanowski of CSNChicago.com , the Denver Nuggets should propose a three-team trade involving the Nuggets, the Chicago Bulls, and the Philadelphia 76ers.
The deal would send Carmelo Anthony to the Bulls, Luol Deng to the 76ers, and Andre Iguodala, Taj Gibson and a first round draft pick to the Nuggets.
Anthony has been vocal in wanting out of Denver, as has Iguodala with his desire to leave Philadelphia.
With Carmelo, the Bulls would instantly become the favorites in the East with a starting line-up of Anthony, Carlos Boozer, Joakim Noah, Derrick Rose and Keith Bogans/Ronnie Brewer. Plus, if Carmelo signs an extension, the Bulls would be able to keep this strong core of players together for at least 4 years, setting them up for several years of championship runs.

The Bulls are a consensus pick to make the Playoffs, as they have for the last two years, while the Wizards are coming off a 26-win season the highlight of which was landing the No. 1 pick in the NBA Draft. However, each team presents a similar problem for New York: an outstanding young point guard. Now that the World’s Most Famous Arena has been deemed safe, the team can focus on the on-court threats of the Bulls’ Derrick Rose and the Wizards’ John Wall.
This will make four straight games that New York has had its hands full with opposing point guards and strong Knicks guard play, especially on defense, will be essential if the team hopes to put two more notches in the win column before the weekend. Last Friday in Boston, Rajon Rondo put up a triple-double with 10 points, 10 rebounds and an eye-popping 24 assists in 45 minutes of play. The next night at the Garden, Portland’s Andre Miller shot 6-for-8 from the field en route to a 19-point, 10-assist effort, while Brandon Roy – though more of a combo guard than either a pure point or shooting guard – also dropped 29 points in 40 minutes. Against the Knicks, Rondo and Miller together averaged 21.2 assists per 48 minutes and posted a combined Assist % (which estimates the percentage of teammates’ field goals a player assists while on the floor) of 61.9 percent. This is an extremely high number; Steve Nash led the NBA in Ast % last season with 50.9 percent.
Of course, it’s only two games and those numbers, from the Knicks’ perspective, will undoubtedly improve as the season progresses. But the rest of the week’s games won’t be any easier for New York’s guards. Rose has put up some gaudy per-game averages this season –- 27.7 ppg and 8.7 apg –- while Wall, after a rough start against Orlando, has been scorching hot in his last two games, shooting .545 from the floor with an .576 effective FG%. His season Ast % is 50.7 percent. Where the two opposing point guards have been vulnerable is turnovers. They have combined to commit 29 turnovers over their first three games, a rate of almost five per game and more than six per 48 minutes each.

Raymond Felton doesn't see it as the Knicks' season getting disrupted or the team's continuity being disturbed by Tuesday's postponed game vs. the Magic. His day, though, was lost.
"It doesn't really disrupt anything. It just kind of messes up the whole day," the point guard said yesterday of getting set to play and having the game postponed. "It just throws your whole day off."
Tuesday's Knicks-Magic game at Madison Square Garden never happened, thanks to debris falling from the ceiling into the arena. So the Knicks, idle since Saturday, got the night off, and as a result, they'll now have four days between games. Aside from the All-Star break, that'll match their longest hiatus of the season.

Their hiatus between home games, fortunately, won't go much further. Late yesterday afternoon, MSG announced that safety concerns have been allayed and the scheduled Knicks-Wizards game tomorrow at the Garden will be played. So the Knicks won't have to explore neutral venues or have any more postponements.
And tonight they'll resume their season in Chicago against the Bulls, finishing their early slate of three extremely tough games in a row (it would have been four if they'd faced Orlando). After winning their opener against the Raptors in Toronto last Wednesday, the Knicks (1-2) lost Friday to the Celtics in Boston, then dropped their home opener Saturday against the Trail Blazers.
"The only thing we can do is take [the postponement] in a positive way, which would be when we do play [the Magic], we'll be a better team because we're young," Mike D'Antoni said. "That's the only way to look at it. And then get ready for Chicago. Just put it out of your mind and go ahead. Really, it doesn't disrupt anything. We're ready to go."

The Chicago Bulls are interested in trading for the Denver Nuggets' Carmelo Anthony, a league source told ESPNChicago.com on Thursday.
And while the source said that the team is holding internal discussions as to whether the Bulls would allow Joakim Noah to be part of any deal, Chicago has not reached a consensus. Another source close to the situation told ESPNChicago.com's Nick Friedell that Noah would not be part of an Anthony deal.
Donnie Walsh better put the NFL kickoff game on pause and make some calls...we can have this
