Could Amar'e Stoudemire grace the cover of Vogue?

According to Newsday's Alan Hahn, it's a possibility, writing Wednesday that Stoudemire is on the "short list" of athletes the magazine is considering to pop on a cover sometime soon.

The bulk of Hahn's article, though, mostly dealt with that rather impressive (in certain ways) buck-nekkid dive Stoudemire did into a pool for ESPN. Here's Hahn's back and forth with the new New York Knicks star:

"I pretty much jumped in naked," he said.

And how many takes did it require?

"A lot of takes," he said with a laugh.

And was there anything over, uh, you?

"Just my hand," he said.

Concerns about showing too much Amar'e were alleviated by promises from the photographer. "That's the great thing about Photoshop nowadays," Stoudemire said.
