The
Miami Heat will have to wait a bit longer for their first second-generation player.
Forward
Anthony Mason Jr., who was added to the team's roster on the eve of training camp, has been released, a source familiar with the move told the Sun Sentinel.
The Heat also released free-agent center Mickell Gladness, leaving the roster at 18 players, with teams required to trim to no more than 15 by 6 p.m. Oct. 25, the day before the Heat open their regular season at TD Center against the
Boston Celtics.
Mason, son of former Heat forward Anthony Mason, appeared in each of the first three exhibition games, including playing 36 minutes off the bench in Saturday's 90-73 road loss to the
San Antonio Spurs, when he scored six points and had seven rebounds.
Lets keep this in the family and sign em...Pat Ewing JR, AMason JR, and maybe we could swing in a COakley jr...lol 90's forever!!!
