Knicks Top 5 Possible Center's Next Season

Even Ray Charles could see that the Knicks are lacking size in the front court, the addition of Jared Jeffries was nice and Ronny Turiaf is a poor mans Oakley but neither have legitimate size down low.

This issue has me thinking about next season's top center options:

1. Marc Gasol The big Spaniard in Memphis may not have all of the talent that his older brother posses but his size, age(26), aggressive play, skill sets, and defensive presence is exactly what this team is missing.

2.Nene Hilario He's undoubtedly is having his best season thus far, the 15ppg really does not tell the story this year. His teammates depend on him to play big and take on the tasks of defending the big guys in the West(Bynum, Aldridge, Duncan, etc..) every night and so far he's been delivering.

3.Tyson Chandler He is the perfect compliment to Amare, rebounds, defends, no shot attempts demands. He would probably be higher on the list except I believe Dallas will most likely re-sign him.

4.Samuel Dalembert He would be extremely happy to come back to the East, and escpically to a playoff caliber team. A seven footer with good hands, knows how to finish, and mans up on D is a cant lose for the Knicks.

4. Jeff Foster Mr. Throwback can add an gritty edge that has been missing since the 90's, but his addition would only be a temporary fix due to his age(34).

Notable Mentions:

Joel Przbilla
Earl Barron
DeAndre Jordan
Nazr Mohammed
Fabricio Oberto

All the players mentioned contracts expire at the end of the 2011 season.

Give me Gasol, or SamDam. Foster is too old, Chandler is injury prone, & we drafted Nene, traded him for a player who we don't have anymore. It'll hurt to sign him now after we could've had him for a decade!

Gasol is A list,we know Nene plays well with Melo and Billups... And BTW the Mcdyess for Nene trade was terrible...

nene all the way he would put a hurtin on the center's in the east with the exception of howard. defensively he's a monster he hustles and he know how to play with melo n chauncy figure in amar'e and fields and they can cover just about anybody in the east.
