Amare Stoudemire is Rapping Now?

So while most Knicks fans are still nauseous from the roller-coaster season, Amare has found some "other" interests during the downtime. Besides vacationing with singer girlfriend Ciara(nobody is mad at that), he seems to have found a new love, rapping?

via hiphopdx.com

The power forward recently appeared on the remake to the team's theme song "Go New York Go," which also features producer Swizz Beatz and teammate Carmelo Anthony. The Daily News reported that Stoudemire hopes to link up with Swizz once again, as well as with producer Lil Jon and Fabolous. He may release music before the NBA season begins in the fall.
I swear I will bump his mixtape non-stop throughout the season if he can make "Winning" and "Knicks" rhyme.

Should the Knicks take on the Greg Oden Project?

Former overall number one pick Greg Oden has yet to play a complete season with the Portland Trailblazers, numerous injuries has halted his professional career before it has even begun. Greg has played in a total of 13 out of 162 games regular season games in his two NBA seasons.

Despite these set backs, Oden's Agent is insistent that he will play next season, which team is the question.

via RealGM.com

"He's focused on keeping his weight down, getting back to figuring out how to stay healthy. I give him a lot of credit for staying motivated to get through all this," his agent, Mike Conley, said.

"I know that he'll play next year, and as long as he keeps his weight down, he'll get back to being the Greg we knew, being able to run and jump and everything. The thing is keeping him healthy and give him the confidence to play without being scared."
Oden's current contract with the Trailblazers expires at the end of the 2010-2011 season, the Blazers however still have a Qualifying offer or "Bird Rights" for an additional season. If Richard Cho (Blazers GM) decides to cut ties with the 7 footer then he will become an unrestricted free agent.

The Knicks are looking to improve their front court depth this summer, but the recent re-signing of Chauncey Billups may have restricted the team from attracting the likes of a Marc Gasol or Nene Hilario type. This leaves the Knicks with possible Mid-Level Exemption Plan B's options like Sameul Dalembert, DeAndre Jordan etc. For the right price(cheap) New York may be the perfect place for Oden to make his return to the big stage, and there is no bigger stage than MSG.

NBA Players not feeling Owners new proposal

via ESPN.com

"Unfortunately, the proposal is very similar to the proposal the league submitted over a year ago," union president Derek Fisher told ESPN.com. "This last proposal doesn't look close to what we were expecting."

"We are taking a close look at each piece of the proposal, and I along with my players and executive committee will be determining what next steps best move this process forward," Fisher said. "I continue to work on this daily, take this very seriously, and have a responsibility to my players to try and get a deal done."

"With the recent news that Round 1 ratings are at an all-time high, the popularity of the game globally has never been higher, we have to work to keep this going in the right direction," Fisher said. "I will continue to urge our players to be prepared in the event of a lockout, but will remain steadfast in my efforts to drive this process forward."
The bulk of disagreements come down to reduction of salaries and a Hard Cap, hopefully this wont drag out longer than it needs to...

Carmelo Anthony Purchases Penthouse in NYC

 via NYPOST.com

Carmelo and La La Anthony have snapped up a luxe penthouse duplex at the Hit Factory Condominium, the former recording studio where Stevie Wonder, Mick Jagger, Diana Ross and Notorious B.I.G. all laid down tracks.
The Knicks star and his reality-TV wife have already moved into the building at 421 W. 54th St., between Ninth and 10th avenues, sources say. The couple's moving vans were spotted outside last week.
