Amare says chances of playing abroad are "High"

With the 2011-2012 season in jeopardy with the lock-out is Amare ready to take his talents across seas?

via ESPNNewYork.com

"All the clubs have called the office inquiring about me," Stoudemire said. "Teams from Israel, China, Turkey, Spain. A lot of countries have been calling."

"The chances would be high" of playing elsewhere in a lockout, Stoudemire said. "They'd definitely be high. I just want to make sure I'm healthy and totally 100 percent before I make that type of commitment. As of right now, we're not entertaining offers. I'm still trying to get (my back) right."

From the Knicks fans aspect, you don't want STAT participating in any unnecessary games that could further delay or re-injure his aching back. But with reports of Kobe, D-Rose, and others receiving an immense amount of cash for a few games abroad you really couldn't be to mad at the guy.

The games that really stand out for me is the early return of Melo to Denver, I wonder how he will be received by his previous fans, and it will also be interesting to see the new Knicks battle with the old Knicks.

Also pay close attention to the December back to back with the Celtics, this could be the battle for the early Atlantic division leaders.

And my sleeper marquee game to look out for is the February 17th match up with the Hornets, this could be the last game that CP3 plays in New York as an opponent, rather than a teammate. The trade deadline will be less than a week from then.

Which games are you excited to see?

Knicks Interested in Omri Casspi?

According to Marc Stein via Twitter, the Knicks are one a few teams that have inquired Casspi's availability since his trade to the Cavs last Thursday.

PS: Word is Knicks/Spurs still hot for Casspi and checked in to see if they could wedge their way into last trade fun of 2010-11. But ...
Omri's versatility at the guard/forward positions could help the Knicks in there quest to fill out there already star-driven team.
